Dissident Mama, episode 77 – Kevin DeAnna

In this episode, my guest is Kevin DeAnna. Although that name may not ring a bell, you’ve probably read his prolific writing. That’s because for over the last decade, DeAnna has produced thousands of articles under two pen names: James Kirkpatrick and Gregory Hood. VDare readers and Twitter users will recognize him as James Kirkpatrick, while Gab users and readers of American Renaissance and Counter-Currents will know him as Gregory Hood. A refreshingly out-spoken and unapologetic advocate for truth, DeAnna is also the author of two books, “Conservatism Inc.: The Battle for the American Right” (available in ebook, or audiobook and paperback) and “Waking Up From the American Dream.”

DeAnna and I discuss state-mandated discrimination against Whites and Asians (a.k.a. the Civil Rights Act of 1964), “disparate impact,” “equality” as the highest moral good, the Confederate Battle Flag, secession, the importance of truly unfettered free speech, ideology as a protected category, Con Inc gatekeepers, traditional Catholicism, the illusion of private property, ways to check power as a “people under occupation,” and more!

Lastly, I’ll leave you with a smattering of DM content which touches on many of the over-arching themes covered in this interview: “Digital struggle sessions” • “Lyin’ Atlanta, part 2” • “Damn the race pimps” • “Fake secession for thee; despotism for me” • “A gulag of the mind” • “Kristallnacht for legacy America” • “Apparently, we will get fooled again” • “The antidote for the therapeutic state” • “KKKlown world” • and my contribution to the book “The Honorable Cause: A Free South—Twelve Southern Essays.”

Very good interview. i do not necessarily share his faith in the strength of the dollar and the CBDC is another can of worms unto itself. I think secession is already happening in many areas at local level.

I would agree that he and Taylor are behind the curve among dissidents when it comes to realizing just how much damage BRICS and the US’s (inevitable) loss in Ukraine will do to America’s standard of living and ability to project power.

I agree with you too, Ohio Copperhead. Even if the BRICS nations aren’t all what we’d hope they’d be, they are still standing in the way of the West and the Yankee Empire. To me, that is indeed a good thing.

I agree, Ernie. Dedollarization is a real thing and I and my family live out personal secession in our lives on many levels every single day.

I was finally able to finish listening to the full interview, DM, and Mr. DeAnna’s analysis, while hard-hitting, is nonetheless spot on. I’m a bit like him in that I too am a pessimist in the short-term, but an optimist in the long; and the short-term is going to be far more challenging than we can currently conceive of, I’ll wager! “Blowin’ smoke” just ain’t gonna cut it! We’ve got to tell the truth – at the very least to ourselves – not only about current events, but about history as well!

Some of us at church are beginning to talk about gardening more, sharing seeds, finding sources of manure, beekeeping, supporting one of our members whose raises grass-fed beef . . . We’ve all talked about What Might Be Coming, and we’re trying to get our heads in the game, forming those alliances, for our families’ sake, but also potentially for our congregation’s. As y’all talked about toward the end, “getting local” will be absolutely vital!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, DD. Everything you said is so common-sense yet the elites call such long-term thinking and community-building “white supremacy” – a clear sign that that’s exactly what we SHOULD be doing. 😉 We might be playing catch-up at this more local, less consumerist thinking of low-time preference and long-term planning (some of us more than others … all I can grow is basil and jalapenos!) but it’s what needs to be done, not only for survival, but to really get back to our roots! May God bless you and you church folk.
